Pope Benedict XVI

Pope Benedict XVI was born on April 16 ,1927 and is the 265th pope. He was elected on April 19 ,2005 and took possession of his cathedral, the Basilica of St. John Lateran, on May 7, 2005. He is the oldest person to have been elected Pope since Pope Clement XII. He had served longer as a cardinal than any Pope since Benedict XIII . In my opinion ,I think popes are great God-fearing people that we should honor . When you say "pope" some people may think of Catholics . It does not matter if you are Catholic ,Christian , etc. we all take Jesus Christ as our savior and that is all that matters.
