PRINCESS KATHERINE PLEA TO THE WOMEN OF SERBIA REGARDING CANCER PREVENTION

The Office of H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander II

PRINCESS KATHERINE PLEA TO THE WOMEN OF SERBIA REGARDING CANCER PREVENTION

Dear Women of Serbia,

These two weeks are dedicated to the prevention of cervical cancer, but the women of Serbia should think of cancer prevention of everyday of the year.

Women in our country are like ambassadors and heroes. They take care of their families and relationships and struggle to build a good future. Their continued fight for the place women deserve in society is an example of the independence that we women have been aspiring for centuries. During these endeavours, simultaneously holding the duty of being a spouse, mother and friend, women sadly stop thinking about themselves.

I’m appealing to all the women of Serbia to take control of their personal well being. In taking care of your health you are also taking care of your loved ones, because your good health is a prerequisite for a healthier life and the well being of your families. This is the foundation on which every society should be built on. I would draw your attention to the vital importance of medical screenings, prevention and vaccination programmes that will help eliminate preventable disease.

Please be assured of my genuine gratitude and admiration for your wonderful work. I hope that together we will work on bringing awareness for overall cancer prevention and screening that is vital for women’s health.

I wish you all the very best for the future.
