First Form of Writing

The cuneiform script is one of the earliest known forms of writing. Cuneiform was created by the Sumerians about 3000 BC. Sumerians lived in Mesopotamia .The first form of cuneiform was in pictographs. Over time cuneiform became simplified. Cuneiform was written on clay tablets and a blunt reed was used to write with. You could also make the clay permanent by baking it .They are also different forms of cuneiform such as Archaic cuneiform, Assyrian cuneiform ,and Arcadian cuneiform.
