My Wish

Today while going to see my brother , I heard a song an the radio. My mother has a beautiful voice and sang along. I have the iPod touch and I love to download all kinds of songs on it. So I asked ," What is this song called ?" , she said ," It is My Wish by Rascle Flatts- my favorite song.". After that , I wrote a note of the song . When I got home, I bought the song on iTunes . For some reason , I was thinking , "What if I could tell the whole school something  , what would I say?"( I always think about my school). What would I say? Then it popped inside my head, I would tell them my wish . The same exact lyrics in the song. That sums it all up.

Here are the Lyrics

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you wanna go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile.
But more than anything, more than anything...

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but you never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And always give more than you take.
But more than anything, yeah, more than anything...

Yeah, yeah.

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish (my wish, for you).

This is my wish (my wish, for you)
I hope you know somebody loves you (my wish, for you).
May all your dreams stay big (my wish, for you).

PRINCESS KATHERINE PLEA TO THE WOMEN OF SERBIA REGARDING CANCER PREVENTION

The Office of H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander II

PRINCESS KATHERINE PLEA TO THE WOMEN OF SERBIA REGARDING CANCER PREVENTION

Dear Women of Serbia,

These two weeks are dedicated to the prevention of cervical cancer, but the women of Serbia should think of cancer prevention of everyday of the year.

Women in our country are like ambassadors and heroes. They take care of their families and relationships and struggle to build a good future. Their continued fight for the place women deserve in society is an example of the independence that we women have been aspiring for centuries. During these endeavours, simultaneously holding the duty of being a spouse, mother and friend, women sadly stop thinking about themselves.

I’m appealing to all the women of Serbia to take control of their personal well being. In taking care of your health you are also taking care of your loved ones, because your good health is a prerequisite for a healthier life and the well being of your families. This is the foundation on which every society should be built on. I would draw your attention to the vital importance of medical screenings, prevention and vaccination programmes that will help eliminate preventable disease.

Please be assured of my genuine gratitude and admiration for your wonderful work. I hope that together we will work on bringing awareness for overall cancer prevention and screening that is vital for women’s health.

I wish you all the very best for the future.

The Story Behind Valentines' Day

St. Valentine, was a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. The legend states that St. Valentine wrote a farewell to the jailer's daughter who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine".Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed. In 496 A.D. ,Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine. Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages .
Some Valentine Traditions
Hundreds of years ago in England, many children dressed up as adults on Valentine's Day. They went singing from home to home. One verse they sang was:
"Good morning to you, valentine;Curl your locks as I do mine ---Two before and three behind.Good morning to you, valentine. "
In Wales wooden love spoons were carved and given as gifts on February 14th. Hearts, keys and keyholes were favourite decorations on the spoons. The decoration meant, "You unlock my heart!"
In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their valentines would be. They would wear these names on their sleeves for one week. To wear your heart on your sleeve now means that it is easy for other people to know how you are feeling.
In some countries, a young woman may receive a gift of clothing from a young man. If she keeps the gift, it means she will marry him.
Some people used to believe that if a woman saw a robin flying overhead on Valentine's Day, it meant she would marry a sailor. If she saw a sparrow, she would marry a poor man and be very happy. If she saw a goldfinch, she would marry a millionaire.
Think of five or six names of boys or girls you might marry, As you twist the stem of an apple, recite the names until the stem comes off. You will marry the person whose name you were saying when the stem fell off.
Pick a dandelion that has gone to seed. Take a deep breath and blow the seeds into the wind. Count the seeds that remain on the stem. That is the number of children you will have.
If you cut an apple in half and count how many seeds are inside, you will also know how many children you will have.
